Reba McEntire has ruled out all possibilities of judging on 'American Idol'.
The 62-year-old country singer has admitted she won't be taking a seat on the panel of the revived talent competition when it returns to TV screens because she doesn't think she is cut out to be a harsh critic like music mogul Simon Cowell.
Speaking to 'Entertainment Tonight' about a possibility of mentoring a category on the popular show, she said: "If anybody was bad, I don't think I could say, 'You were bad,' or, 'Honey, go get you a day job'. I would definitely not be a Simon [Cowell]."
However, the flame-haired musician has not ruled out returning to the small screen in the future, as she would love to bring back her sitcom 'Reba'.
Speaking about the talent show, she said: "There have been some in the past and hopefully some in the future too. We'd love to do it."
Although the 'Does He Love You' hitmaker won't be making an appearance on the competitive programme, she is excited to see her former daughter-in-law Kelly Clarkson - who is married Reba's step-son Brandon Blackstock - give her opinion on the acts when she appears on America's 'The Voice'.
Reba explained: "Without a doubt. I can't wait to see her on the show."
The 'Because of You' artist - who won 'American Idol' in 2002 - confirmed she was joining the rival NbC show earlier this year and has warned fellow coach, Blake Shelton, that she is going to "win" the season.
Kelly previously said: "I'm so excited to join 'The Voice' at NBC.
"We've gone back and forth about a role as a coach for years, but the timing hasn't been right until now. I have always loved appearing on the show as an adviser or performer and established an amazing relationship with the network during my Christmas special. I can't wait to turn my chair and see the faces of up-and-coming artists and provide them with the help and support they've needed to break into the industry. Watch out Shelton, I'm comin' to win!!"
