The multi-talented rapper, actress and talk show host said she splashed out on the pricey filling as soon as she landed her first big money contract aged just 17 - but lost her prized new possession just a week later.
She said: "I signed my first recording contract at age 17. The first thing I bought after signing was a gold tooth - which I then lost within one week."
The Oscar-winning 'Chicago' star also divulged her reading habits in Us Weekly's '25 Things You Don't Know About Me' feature, insisting she is never without a Bible by her side.
She said of her literary choices: "I always travel with my Bible. I buy more interior design magazines than any other kind."
Additionally, the 43-year-old star is a huge fan of motoring and owns no less than five motorbikes, as well as a classic car seen in one of her movies.
Latifah explained: "I have five motorcycles and two Vespas. The fastest I've ever gone on a motorcycle is 155 miles per hour. I [also] own the 1962 Chevy Impala from my movie 'Set It Off'."
The thrillseeker also boasts of her "French Jet Ski licence" and says she once dreamed of being a truck driver as a child.
