Professor Green has inked a new record deal with Sony's Relentless Records.
The 32-year-old rapper will be reunited with Shabs Jobanputra - who signed the 'Read All About It' hitmaker to Virgin in 2010 - at Relentless and is thrilled to be working with someone "fair" and "forward-thinking" again.
Pro - whose real name is Stephen Marsden - told The Sun newspaper: "Shabs was first out of the blocks for a second time round -- it's great to be back in the hands of someone fair, forward-thinking and committed."
And a source said of the signing: "Sony and Relentless are chuffed to have signed Professor Green.
"There was a real battle for his signature but he and Shabs have a lot of history, and that really helped.
"As far as Professor Green is concerned, he feels -- considering everything that's gone on for him recently -- that this is a hugely exciting, fresh start.
"He's really pleased with how his music is sounding, and now just wants to get back to focusing on that."
The 'Remedy' hitmaker split his wife, former 'Made in Chelsea' star Millie Mackintosh, in February and the new record will reference their marriage split.
Asked if she'll be unhappy with the content, he previously admitted: "I think that can be assumed. But I'm not worried about that.
"People assume they know me and they know the box I fit into but I grew up rapping a totally different way. I hope people will let me release the music and the style that I want. I'm not going to be nice just to sell records."
Pro was inspired to write the songs after the 26-year-old reality TV star seemingly ended their marriage in order to romance her ex-boyfriend and former co-star Hugo Taylor, 30.
The forthcoming album will be Pro Green's first since his 2014 hit LP 'Growing Up in Public'.
