Professor Green found his wedding day "so hard."
The 'Read All About It' hitmaker has admitted it was difficult to watch his wife Millie Mackintosh surrounded by her loved ones on their big day when none of his remaining relatives turned up to support him during their nuptials in 2013.
He told the Radio Times magazine: "My wedding was so hard. Millie had her whole family there and it's not something I begrudged her but it made it obvious."
The 31-year-old rapper - who was raised by his grandmother - wanted "nothing more" than to have his late father, who committed suicide seven years ago, watch him get hitched.
He added: "I didn't have my mum there because we weren't talking. That was a decision I made, but I didn't have my dad there because he couldn't be and I wanted nothing more."
Professor Green - whose real name is Stephen Manderson - has made no secret of the fact his dad's passing has affected his life, emotionally and mentally, over the years.
He recently revealed he's been putting off having children with Millie, 26, because he's terrified of passing his battle with depression onto his future brood and has been seeking therapy to prevent him from following in his dad's footsteps.
He said: "I think there's a genetic link with depression and suicide. My dad did it and his brother did it."
He added: "I felt it was right to take precautions by going to therapy and trying to fix myself, because, being happily married, children are the next logical step.
"But I can't escape the fact that I am a product of my dad and I don't want to pass this on."
