The 'Diana' biopic was a "betrayal" of Princess Diana's relationship with Hasnat Khan whose relationship with the late British royal is the subject for a new biopic starring Naomi Watts.
Hasnat Khan has accused the films makers have produced the documentery without any factual knowledge basing it on presumptions and gossip. He is also said to be outraged by the movie indicating his family were against their romance.
Khan has told the press that both his parents, his grandmother and all relatives who had met Diana had liked her very much and his parents and grandmother did not object to the relationship.
The Sun newspaper quotes Hasnat Khan as saying "They were very much happy for us to make a decision ourselves and made it clear they would support it 100 per cent. We both had their blessing.
"This amounts to the film projecting a betrayal of our relationship and my relationship with my immediate family. The material in this film has come from people who met people who only knew us through association. It's all based on presumptions."
Hasnat, 54, is said to be still struggling to come to terms with the princess' death in a car crash 16 years ago, just weeks after she ended their secret two-year affair.
He said: "It's been difficult for me to get my head around Diana's death or talk about it.
"After she died things were difficult, very difficult. We all have our own traumas and get on with it - but when it's there in your face year in, year out, it's hard."
