Phillip Schofield has praised the medical team who saved his brother's life after he was taken ill two weeks ago.
The 'This Morning' presenter has paid tribute to the doctors and nurses at Bristol Royal Infirmary hospital for their "astonishing work" in caring for his sibling Tim after he suddenly fell unwell at the beginning of December.
Taking to his Facebook account last night (13.12.15), Phillip said: "THANK YOU for saving my amazing brother. The hardest 2 weeks of all our lives and you were there for all of us, as you tirelessly fixed him, you sensitively fixed us.
"I've seen the astonishing work of our incredible NHS in action and I'm truly humbled by each and every one of you & what you do. THANK YOU xx (sic)."
Phillip, 53, has been absent from the mid-morning show since Tim was taken to hospital and, although it's not known when he will return to the sofa, his co-star Holly Willoughby gave viewers an update on the situation last week.
She said: "As you probably know Phillip's brother Tim has been very, very poorly but we are thrilled to say he is watching today."
Eamonn Holmes and Ben Shepherd have been filling in for Phillip on 'This Morning' while he's been away.
