Peter Andre's children are very "adaptable".
The 44-year-old singer - who has Junior, 12, and 10-year-old Princess with ex-wife Katie Price and Amelia, three, and 11-month-old Theo with spouse Emily - insists his older kids don't struggle too much with the fact they are expected to follow different rules when they're staying with him than when they are at their mum's house.
While appearing on 'Loose Women' on Monday (06.11.17), Peter was asked whether his children with Katie find it difficult dealing with their different house rules.
He said: "Yes and no. Kids are very adaptable. My mum was really loving and I knew there were things I could get away with in front of my mum and things I couldn't with my dad."
One rule the 'Mysterious Girl' hitmaker insists the whole family stick to is only to use "one screen" at a time, so mobile devices and tablets are banned when they're watching TV together.
He said: "In our house, we have a one screen rule. If the TV is on, we are all watching TV without any other screens and that includes me and Emily. You have to lead by example."
While Junior has a mobile phone of his own, Peter is refusing to give in to Princess' requests for one, and admitted he has a lot of worries about being able to control how they use the devices as they get older.
He said: "It freaks me out so much. My daughter is 10 and wants a phone and I joke with her, when you go to church you can text whoever you want.
"Junior is 12 and I gave him a phone, but then you talk about sexting and I just feel when he turns 13 there's less things I will be able to control.
"I am slowly letting them have those things."
The 'Behind Closed Doors' hitmaker was recently criticised on social media for claiming he wants to be his children's best friend and though he insisted he is still a parent "first", he wants his brood to be able to talk to him about anything.
He said: "First and foremost, you've got to be a parent.
"I had a Greek upbringing and couldn't talk about a lot of things with my parents but I had my brothers.
"Not everyone has siblings. I install the same strictness but I also want them to know that they can talk about anything."
