The 'Mysterious Girl' singer has admitted he is sometimes crippled with fear if he has to attend a busy function or party and actually cancels his plans because he cannot bring himself to attend.

The 43-year-old star was inspired to share his problem with the world after tuning into 'Loose Women' on Monday (28.11.16) and hearing a discussion between the panellists about the disorder during which Andrea Mclean revealed she avoids social settings and Ayda Field who spilled that her husband Robbie Williams constantly cancels plans because he doesn't want to mix with people.

Peter posted on Twitter: "Watching LW and the topic is 'is social anxiety making you dread party season'? I never thought I would admit it but like @robbiewilliams I too suffer the same thing. I guess I tend to Hide away sometimes and cancel social things. I don't mean to.

Random but I thought I'd tell you all. Thank you :) (sic)"

Peter will have a valid excuse to bail on social functions in the coming weeks as he and his wife Emily MacDonagh have just welcomed their second child into the world.

Emily, 27, gave birth to their son on November 21, a younger brother for their two-year-old daughter Amelia but the couple are yet to name the tot.

Peter also has son Junior, 11, and daughter Princess, nine, from his previous marriage to Katie Price.
