Perrie Edwards has had surgery on her throat.
The Little Mix singer has revealed she underwent an operation earlier this week to fix her oesophagus and, although the extent of the procedure is not known, she clearly has no trouble swallowing as she took herself off to the posh London restaurant The Ivy to demolish a chocolate bomb after she was discharged.
Taking to her Instagram account, the 25-year-old beauty uploaded a photograph of herself in a pink tracksuit, no make-up and still wearing her hospital ID band as she posed behind the of the empty bowl of deliciousness that she'd scoffed.
She captioned it: "Only I would have an operation then ask to be taken to the ivy for my favourite chocolate bomb dessert! My oesophagus can't come between me and my love of food. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger (sic)"
It's not known why Perrie had the surgery on her oesophagus - a long muscular tube that connects your mouth to your stomach - but she's previously said she had an operation when she was younger because she couldn't eat properly.
She explained: "My [body-hang up] is my scar on my stomach. When I was little, my oesophagus was too small, so I had to get it operated on to help me eat properly. I had to have lots of operations, so that's why I don't want to show it."
She also had her tonsils removed in 2012 and admitted at the time that she hadn't had the energy to reply to fans' well wishes because she was so "sore."
She said: "Getting your tonsils taken out sucks! #SORE Thanks for all the lovely messages & Im sorry to miss some of our gigs! Love u mixers Perrie [sic]."
