Perrie Edwards' relationship with Luke Pasqualino is "very early days."

The Little Mix singer has been romantically linked to the 'Our Girl' star for three months but she's finally confirmed they've been enjoying a string of "fun dates" and are just taking it step by step for now.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: "We've been on a few fun dates, which is nice. It's very early days. But yeah, he's really lovely."

And, although the pair have developed strong feelings for one another, the 26-year-old hunk doesn't seem bothered by the fact the blonde beauty has just penned a song presumably about her ex Zayn Malik.

The group's new single 'Shout Out To My Ex', which will drop this weekend, features a number of cutting lyrics that are believed to be aimed at the former One Direction singer, who is now dating model Gigi Hadid, and his lack of skills in the bedroom.

One line sees the 23-year-old beauty sing: "I hope she gettin' better sex/Hope she ain't fakin' it like I did, babe."

Another referred to the tattoo of her face he has on his bicep: "Guess I should say thank you/ For the 'hate yous' and the tattoos/ Oh baby I'm cool by the way/ Ain't sure I loved you anyway."

Asked if Luke has heard the song, she said: "He thought it was good."

However, not everyone was made aware of the song before it dropped as the band - comprised of Perrie, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson - didn't think Zayn deserved to be given the heads up.

Asked if the 23-year-old 'PILLOWTALK' hitmaker was told about the track before the lyrics came out, Perrie said: "No!"

Her band mate Jesy explained: "We don't think he deserves a warning! He'll just have to wait to see."

Perrie and Zayn dated for four years after they met on 'The X Factor' in early 2012 and it wasn't long before they got engaged.

But, despite planning their wedding and looking at buying a house together, Perrie was left heartbroken when Zayn reportedly ended their engagement via text message last year following rumours he'd cheated on her while he was touring with One Direction in Thailand.
