Peaches Geldof

Peaches Geldof claimed she was "happier than ever" in her last magazine column.

The late star - who was found dead at the home she shared with her husband Thomas Cohen and their sons Astala, 23 months, and Phaedra, 11 months, on Monday (07.04.14) - gushed about the joys of being a young mother in the pages of Mother & Baby magazine just weeks before her untimely death, claiming her family saved her from a life of "pure apathy".

She wrote: "Other than work there was nothing stopping me from having constant fun. But it was becoming boring, I wanted an anchor. I craved it.

"And when I had two wailing, smiling, joyful little blobs of waddling pink flesh they became my entire existence and saved me from one of pure apathy.

"I had the perfect life, two babies who loved me more than anything. It was and is bliss.

"I'm happier than ever. I've achieved a sort of perfect balance. Right now life is good. And being a mum is the best part of it."

Yesterday (08.04.14), police continued to search her house in Wrotham, Kent, but Peaches death is still being treated as "unexplained".

The 25-year-old star's heartbroken father Bob Geldof flew home to London yesterday, and his eldest daughter Fifi, 31, is said to be looking after him and her younger sisters Pixie, 23, and Tiger Lily, 17.

Meanwhile, a postmortem examination on the journalist's body will be carried out today at Darent Valley hospital in Dartford, Kent, by Dr Peter Graham Jerreat.

A decision on whether an inquest should be held depends on the results of the examination, which could take several weeks, according to Kent county council.
