Paul Rudd loved taking "swings" at the stars of 'Captain America: Civil War' while they were wearing their superhero outfits.
The 47-year-old actor reprises his role as Ant-Man for the much-hyped Marvel comic book film and has revealed he relished the moment when the movie's star-studded cast, which includes the likes Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson, donned their outfits on the set.
Rudd told BANG Showbiz: "It is pretty awesome. It's pretty incredible. I know if I ever go into a Planet Hollywood or any of those restaurants that have the shoes that Kevin Costner in 'Tin Cup' or whatever, I'm like, 'Whoa those were in the movie.' I still have that feeling, so then to step onto this set and see all of the suits was really cool.
"Then to see all the actors that wear the suits was even cooler, and then to see them put them on, and stand in front of them and get to take swings at them was the coolest. So it was a very exciting time."
Rudd has now watched 'Civil War' twice and has praised director Anthony Russo for the way he has handled the plot which sees Evans' Captain America and his allies fight Iron Man (Downey) over whether The Avengers superhero squad should be under government control.
He added: "I have seen it twice now and I think Russo has knocked it out of the park. I think it is so nuanced and layered and the conflicts are understand both sides and points of view and it makes for a really engaging movie. Characters - it's all about the characters, and every character has their moment."
The movie also stars Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Paul Bettany as Vision and the first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe of Spider-Man - portrayed by Tom Holland.
