Paul Hollywood wants to lose two stone.
The 'Great British Bake Off' star, 49, has decided to bite the bullet and beat the bulge after being teased by the show's hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins about his belly, but he's adamant his decision to finally shed the extra pounds came after he signed up for a new racing car TV show.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the National Television Awards last night (20.01.16), he said: "I'm doing another programme at the moment, which is all about racing cars. I'm losing weight and started training last week for the racing. I'm doing racing for British GT Championships."
Asked how much he wants to lose, he added: "Two stone."
As well as preparing for the top-secret motoring show, Paul has also been busy with the forthcoming charity episode of this year's 'The Great Sport Relief Bake Off'.
He said: "It's a good standard this year. David James was hilarious. Jason Manford was good. I didn't realise how much Geri Horner was into her baking. Geri did an amazing job."
Meanwhile, the hunky northerner, along with his co-star Mary Berry and the rest of the 'Bake Off' team, picked up the trophy for best challenge show at the star-studded ceremony, held at London's The O2, on Wednesday night.
