Justin Bieber is reportedly going sober with the help of his pastor.
The 'Boyfriend' hitmaker - who recently released a video in which he apologised to his fans for being "arrogant and conceited" - is believed to have turned to Christian minister Carl Lentz, with whom he is close friends, to help him clean up his bad habits and give up drugs and alcohol.
A source said: "There's no one Justin looks up to more than Carl. He's had a huge influence on him.
"They spoke at length about how he can get his life and career back on track and both agreed that getting rid of alcohol and drugs was the natural first step."
It is thought the 20-year-old singer has been warned by his manager Scooter Braun that he won't be producing any more records until he has cleaned up his act for good.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "Justin has made promises like this before but this time we all genuinely believe he is clean.
"His manager Scooter Braun was very clear that, until Justin sorted himself out, his music comeback was on hold."
Justin also reached out to Carl last year following his split from on-off girlfriend Selena Gomez.
A source said at the time: "Those close to Justin were concerned and reached out to the one person he always listens to and really looks up to, his pastor, Carl Lentz.
"Justin was all for it. There was no resistance on his part to go away for a couple of weeks for alone time, God time and some spiritual growth time."
