Paris Jackson described her late father Michael as a "legend" at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (12.02.17).
The 18-year-old aspiring actress gave a subtle nod to the King of Pop as she introduced The Weeknd and Daft Punk's collaboration 'I Feel It Coming' at the prestigious ceremony at Los Angeles Staples Center.
She said: "A legend once said that a star can never die, it just turns into a smile and melts back into the cosmic music, the dance of life.
"The artist about to take the stage is a shining star whose cosmic style has embraced the very roots of music, from R&B to soul to hip-hop and now pop music. Joined by his genius collaborators and robot friends, Daft Punk, we have here tonight a real starboy. Ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm welcome to The Weeknd."
Paris also used her time on stage to appeal for more support for the Dakota Access Pipeline protests.
She said: "We could really use this kind of excitement at a pipeline protest guys! #NoDAPL."
After watching her on stage, Paris' older brother, 19-year-old Prince Jackson, took to social media to praise the blonde beauty for her composure and design skills as she had helped create the custom Jeremy Scott gown she wore on the stage.
He wrote on Instagram: "So proud of my sister, not only did she address a crowd that big, but she designed a tasteful dress that expresses her individuality and uniqueness and she ROCKED it. Proud of you @parisjackson. (sic)"
And he also said in a video he shared: "Alright, so you guys can say a lot of stuff, you guys can say a lot of stuff, but she designed that dress. Look at all those people! What did you do today?!"
