Paloma Faith has defended her decision to raise her child gender neutral.
The 36-year-old singer welcomed her first child with French beau Leyman Lahcine in December last year and she has not confirmed the baby's sex to her fans.
Paloma insists she's content to keep her child's biological identity to herself and wants her tot to be free to engage with toys intended for both sexes.
Paloma wrote on Twitter: "For the last time I am raising my child to play with all toys I don't need my child to be gender X I know what they are (private) (sic)."
Replying to a fan who challenged the secrecy surrounding the child's gender, she said: "It's also none of yours or anyone Business about my child who is innocent and may not want public attention. (sic)"
The 36-year-old singer also seized the chance to quash reports she and Leyman have tied the knot.
Paloma added on Twitter: "... and I'm not married!"
Rumours had circulated at the weekend that the couple had wed in "a very intimate and beautiful ceremony" in London, England, surrounded by close friends and family.
The ' I Just Can't Rely On You' star had sparked rumours she was married after being spotted at The Royal Variety Performance recently, where she was rumoured to be wearing a diamond ring on her the ring finger on her left hand.
And the pop star has previously addressed Leyman as her "husband".
Speaking recently about her relationship, she said: "My mum said if you feel trapped, you're in the wrong relationship but if you feel freer than when you're single, you've met the right person. I'm in that place now. Leyman is my husband."
However, Paloma - who was previously married to chef Rian Haynes for four years before they split in 2009 - believes starting a family with her beau is "more bonding" than exchanging wedding vows.
She said: "I feel the fact we've got a child together is way more bonding than a piece of paper. When I'm like 80, I think I want to get married and try heroin."
