P. Diddy has rubbished claims he got into a heated argument with J. Cole at his MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) after-party.
The rapper - real name Sean Combs - took to Twitter to quash accusations of a verbal altercation which reportedly escalated into a shoving match with the fellow rapper - real name Jermaine Lamarr Cole - at the star-studded bash, which Diddy was co-hosting with Jay-Z, at PH-D in New York City on Sunday night (25.08.13).
The 'Coming Home' hitmaker tweeted: "I usually don't address rumors but I got too much respect for my bro @JColeNC. We are friends The rumors are not true. We had a great party (sic)"
The allegations that Diddy, 43, is upset with suggested the two rap stars got embroiled in a row at around 3am after J.Cole, 28, hit on Diddy's girlfriend Cassie, 27.
A source said: "J. Cole was saying inappropriate things to Sean Combs and his girlfriend, Cassie. Sean immediately pounced. Some pushing and shoving happened. No punches were thrown, but it was a visible disturbance. A few bottles splashed to the floor and some party goers were knocked over, falling on top of Renee Graziano from 'Mob Wives'. "
Jay Z's wife Beyonce was allegedly caught up in the fracas in an attempt to break it up.
Another guest said: "It was mayhem. Beyoncé was yelling to stop and Jay Z was separating people and getting people away from Bey."
Other guests at the A-List event included Rihanna, Rita Ora and Justin Timberlake and his wife Jessica Biel.
