Orlando Bloom thanked Miranda Kerr while receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 37-year-old actor took a brief moment to pay tribute to his estranged wife, whom he split from in October after three years of marriage, for giving him the best gift in the world, their son Flynn, three, according to E! News.
Upon receiving the honour in Hollywood on Wednesday (02.04.14), the 'Lord of the Rings' star also told those in attendance that his son is "the real star in my life."
Miranda was not at the ceremony as she is currently working in Tokyo, Japan, but Flynn was spotted enjoying a blue lollipop with Orlando's parents, Sonia and Colin Stone, as the proceedings got underway.
Following the ceremony, the 'Lord of the Rings' star said: "I got a star right in front of a sweet shop and he is obsessed and mad for candy right now, so he was excited for that. Trying to keep him from having too much, though."
Asked about the accolade, he added: "It's a great honour...and I feel honoured that I am able to work with such amazing people and talent."
Guest speakers at the event included Forest Whitaker and director David Leveaux.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor recently admitted he still feels a "deep love" for Australian supermodel Miranda and is determined they stay on good terms.
He previously said: "It's ever evolving, but I've said to her, 'We're going to be in each other's lives for the rest of our lives and we have a child, so it's important to me that we respect each other as we always have and that Flynn feels that and understands that. There's a deep love between us."
