Olly Alexander is celebrating his BRIT Awards nominations with a vintage shopping trip.
Years & Years received four nods at the annual music extravaganza and the group's frontman is treating himself to a number of second-hand outfits to mark the band's achievement.
He said: "I could never have imagined this level of success and I feel totally confused by it and undeserving of it. A lot of it is timing and things coming together at the right time. I haven't really had time to treat myself, although I did buy a car for my mum. That was her Christmas present from me.
"I normally get secondhand stuff, to be honest. I used to work in a vintage clothes shop called Rokit. There's also some really good charity shops near me in Hackney."
And whilst the 25-year-old singer is happy to be recognised occasionally, he is thankful he doesn't get "hounded" by adoring fans.
The 'Shine' singer added to The Evening Standard newspaper: "I do sometimes get recognised. At first it was really quite stressful, but then I realised people just want to be nice. It's literally 30 seconds of my day.
"It's nice if someone wants to say hello, and then I just carry on with my day. I'm fortunate I don't get hounded by people, because that would be really scary."
Years & Years are up for British Breakthrough Act, British Group and British Single and British Artist Video of the Year for 'King'.
The BRIT Awards with MasterCard 2016 will take place at The O2 in London on February 24.
