Olivia Wilde claims she felt under a lot of pressure to be successful.
The 'Drinking Buddies' star, who has two-month-old son Otis with fiancé Jason Sudeikis, wishes she had been more relaxed about her career when she was younger.
The 30-year-old actress said: "There is this idea in Hollywood you have to have had a huge success by the age of 25, and that's obviously ludicrous."
She added: "It affects us all .â.â. You think, 'I have to be successful by the time I'm 30 or I'm a failure.' That's not true .â.â. I wish at 18 I would have thought, 'It's OK, I can make one thing a year. I don't have to make 12 projects.'â"
Asked what advice she would give to her younger self, the brunette beauty told the New York Post's Page Six: "Chill out, calm down, you have time."
Olivia recently credited her first child for changing her perspective about acting and fame.
She said: "The amazing thing about becoming a mother is it snaps everything into focus and really makes you understand what's important.
"It's [parenthood is] tricky! It's tricky for every mother, and I salute working mothers everywhere. We are warriors. Suddenly these press lines are less stressful!"
