Nicole Scherzinger insists she and Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber are going to work together again and will "create history".
The 68-year-old composer was "furious" with Nicole, 38, after she dropped out of his musical 'Cats' just one week before Broadway rehearsals began in order to return to 'The X Factor'.
Despite his understandable disappointment, Nicole wasn't concerned to discover he was upset she dropped out of playing Grizabella - a role which eventually went to Leona Lewis in the New York revival - because it showed her that he is "passionate" about her as an artist and she knows they will go on to do great things.
Speaking to website DigitalSpy, Nicole - who won rave reviews for her interpretation of Grizabella on the West End - said: "It just means that he's passionate about me and he believes in me. He only wants the best for me. Andrew and I are all good.
"We did a show together in Austria. I love him and [his wife] Maddy, they're family to me, and I can't wait for us to create together and work together and create history, because he's a legend."
Nicole also explained the motivation for her decision to pull out of 'Cats' admitting that when she got the call from Simon Cowell to return to his talent show she knew she had to go back to the panel.
She added: "I chose to do 'The X Factor' for the obvious reasons - obviously I love my job, I love what I do and I'm damn good at it. But it allows me to do other things. I just finished 'Dirty Dancing', the movie. I have another movie coming out this year with Disney, and I'm able to work on my music - and time is everything. Time and timing is everything."
Questioning Nicole's decision to drop out of 'Cats', Webber said in May: "I mean, she's crazy. But the American producers just took a view, 'Well, fine, we'll get somebody else', because she's actually not very well known in America amazingly. She's much better known here (in the UK). I'm furious because I really believe she's the most fantastically talented girl and I went out on a limb to get her for the London Palladium here, and it makes me look like an absolute tw*t with them all."
