The 33-year-old designer - who has children Harlow, seven and five-year-old Sparrow with husband Joel Madden, 36 - revealed that because she has kids she needs to keep supplies in her bag.
She told Us Weekly: "Because I have kids, I have a whole emergency kit. I have Band-Aids, Wet Ones, Aquaphor, and cranberry almond Kind bars."
And Nicole revealed that her children see her bag as theirs so they often fill it with their stuff.
She said: "My kids look at my bag as their own, which drives me insane! My son hides Legos in there, and sometimes I'll find a sock."
Nicole - who has her own TV series 'Candidly Nicole' - loves to document her life so always carries a camera in her bag.
She explained: "I carry a small Canon camera on me. I print my photos and frame them. My friends count on me to be the picture-taker of the group."
Meanwhile, Nicole's sister Sofia Richie is the new face of Madonna's Material Girl fashion line.
The 16-year-old model - who is the daughter of Lionel Richie - shared the first image from the brand's fifth anniversary campaign and revealed how thrilled she is to work alongside the 'Rebel Heart' superstar and her daughter, Lourdes Leon aka Lola.
