Nicole Kidman has no idea how her daughters feel about having her as a mother.
The 56-year-old actress is married to musician Keith Urban, also 56, and has Sunday, 15, and Faith, 13, with him as well as Bella, 31, and 29-year-old Connor with her ex-husband Tom Cruise but when she was being honored at the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award Gala, admitted that while her teenager daughters were "supportive and loving" of her, they are really just keen to get going in their own careers.
She told People: "You'll have to ask them. I think they're just like ... they want to get started on their own careers. They are here to support me, and they're very, very supportive and incredibly loving."
The 'Eyes Wide Shut' star was joined on the red carpet by her husband, daughters, niece Sybella Hawley, sister Antonia Kidman and her brother-in-law Craig Marran at the honorific event and loved being able to share the night with her loved ones.
She said: "It's beautiful to have a family to be able to go and want to share this with you, because you don't get to do that. A lot of the times, if you get invited to the Academy Awards, you get one ticket extra.
"So the idea of being able to have your family come to something like this is really exciting."
The AFI Life Achievement Award is defined as being given to anyone whose acting career has "greatly contributed to the enrichment of American Culture" and Nicole's big win comes just weeks after she admitted she felt "so lucky" to have such a support network around her.
She said: "I have my sister, mother, nieces, nephews, daughters. I'm raising a soon to be 16-year-old and a 13-year-old who are divine. They're just lovely people and I'm so lucky that I have Keith, who's just my love, my deep, deep love.
"That gives me the ability to go and do whatever I have to do because I know where I can come back to."
