Nick Jonas is willing to "evolve with the music world".
The 25-year-old singer is rumoured to be releasing a record later this year, but he's admitted to being undecided about how he approaches the release of his new material.
He said: "Whether it's an album or I pivot and do a singles-style release over the next 12 months, I'm really willing to evolve with the music world and so much has changed.
"There's more music on the horizon and more acting projects. In addition to that, I've been writing both a play and a screenplay, which I think are really special and have been getting good feedback."
Nick revealed he doesn't have a timescale for the release of his projects.
Instead, the dark-haired hunk is focused on "being creative and staying creative".
Asked whether he can reveal anything else about his new material, Nick told GQ magazine: "You just don't know where it will go. It could be months to years until they're made.
"For me, it's just about being creative and staying creative. It's about not letting the fact that I haven't done something before stop me from trying and pushing myself to do it. The discovery is important - you want to roll with it and see where these projects take you."
Meanwhile, Nick recently revealed that he was "flattered" that Miley Cyrus penned the song '7 Things' about their break-up.
The former Disney stars dated for two-and-a-half years before breaking up in 2008 and Miley's single came out in June that year, containing lyrics about a lost relationship.
Of the track, he confessed: "I was actually kind of flattered to be honest because it's there forever and I know it's about me."
