Nick Jonas has "poured everything" into his new album.
The 'Levels' hitmaker has confirmed he will be releasing his latest LP, which he has titled 'Last Year Was Complicated', in June and has hinted it will feature songs about his break up from Olivia Culpo.
He wrote on his Twitter account: "I've been making this record for a year and a half ... Pouring everything I have into it. Tomorrow night I'm gonna show the world the first single. When I first started making I thought I knew what it would be about ... Then I had a breakup. It then became very clear what this thing would be about ... And that I would need to dig really deep.
"S**t is too real sometimes ... Reliving some of these real life experiences through this music is hard. But I know it's important that I do it. I want to be an open book in my art..The first song you're gonna hear tomorrow night is about how I literally can't open up and be vulnerable with someone. (sic)"
Meanwhile, despite penning a hit track called 'Jealous', the 23-year-old singer previously admitted he doesn't actually get that jealous in real life.
He explained: "'Jealous' is a song, it kind of came out of a real life situation. I was out with my girlfriend one night and this guy was staring at her for an uncomfortably long time and I was getting frustrated about it. It's not really in my nature to be a jealous person but in that moment it was there."
