The Backstreet Boys singer and fitness expert and actress Lauren Kitt - who tied the knot in 2014 - were recently reported to be having their first child and the couple discovered the gender of the unborn tot on last night's (02.11.15) episode of 'Dancing With the Stars'.
The 35-year-old singer - who is competing with professional Sharna Burgess - and his 32-year-old wife were helped by co-host Erin Andrews to open a giant box, which released dozens of blue balloons.
The happy couple then shared a kiss and admitted the news was "unbelievable".
And the pair also admitted they had struggled to have a family, with Lauren - who is 16 weeks pregnant - previously suffering a miscarriage.
Nick said: "We've been trying to have a baby for about a year now. It's been rocky, to be quite honest with you. There have been times when we thought it wouldn't happen."
Lauren added: "It was really hard on Nick. Just watching him get so excited about something, and see him get so hurt, it was hard."
After the show, the 'I'll Never Break Your Heart' singer confirmed their happy news in a statement.
He said: "My wife and I are happy to personally announce that we are pregnant.
"It has been our dream to have a family together and we cannot wait to welcome our first child into the world."
