Nick Cannon has filed a lawsuit after claims he was only told his family home was being sold after the deal was complete.

The lawsuit is filed against business managed Michael Kane, in which he alleges that all details of the $9 million sale of the Bel Air mansion he once shared with estranged wife Mariah Carey and their twin offsprings Moroccan and Monroe were shared with Mariah but not with him, according to TMZ.

Though Nick says he never authorised the sale he states that this isn't the problem, and he is instead angry because Kane failed to keep him informed from the start of the process to the end. He's said to be particularly concerned about how the proceeds from the sale of the house will be divided, and wants the $9 million frozen until he's given a detailed accounting of the cash.

Kane has hit back at the lawsuit, slamming it as "frivolous" and said it's "clearly a desperate act from a sadly desperate man".

Meanwhile, Nick's hoping to keep his twins away from the public eye and in doing so is reportedly paying a huge $11,000 per month for a six-bedroom, eight-bathroom New Jersey estate. Though the secluded home in Saddle River is being rented, Nick does have hopes to buy it for $3 million in the near future if the location works out well.
