Niall Horan's brother has sparked concern for his wellbeing after posting an ominous-sounding message on his Twitter account.
Greg Horan, the brother of the One Direction singer and a father-of-one, claims to have been rejected by Niall for the last six years and has said life could not get worse for him.
In a now-deleted tweet, he wrote: "I wish I was dead simple as life couldn't get any worse. (sic)"
Of his relationship with his brother, Greg added: "Iv been rejected by niall since November 2010 and all the support I gave him down through the years there is the truth goodbye (sic)."
He subsequently deleted the messages without adding to his remarks, but the posts were seen by thousands of social media users, many of whom were quick to express fears about Greg's current frame of mind.
Meanwhile, One Direction recently moved to deny speculation their hiatus will become permanent.
It was revealed last year that the chart-topping boyband will take a break from working with each other for around 18 months.
However, an insider has insisted they will reunite in the future.
The source said: "Nothing has changed regarding hiatus plans for the group, and all will be revealed in due time from the band members' own mouths."
