Nev Schulman had coronavirus in March.
The 'Catfish' star admits it was "really scary" when him and his wife Laura Perlongo got struck down by the virus, with Nev struggling with "constant fatigue, headaches and difficulty breathing".
He shared: "It’s been a tough year. In March my wife and I had Covid. It was really scary as there was so little information available and we were terrified that our kids would get sick too.
"For over three weeks, my constant fatigue, headaches and difficulty breathing was awful and the stress of wondering if my symptoms would worsen was horrifying. Thank God my condition improved and our kids didn’t get sick and we were able to safely quarantine. With all the fear, uncertainty, and unrest that has followed its been a roller coaster of emotions for all of us."
And Nev feels "so blessed" to have a healthy family and despite a tough year, he feels the last 12 months have taught him about "gratitude, focus and the unpredictability of life".
In a lengthy post published on his Instagram account, he wrote: "It’s hard to believe that despite all that, my year is ending with one of the most positive and amazing experiences of my life.
"I am so blessed that I have my family and that we have our health. This year has taught me so much about gratitude, focus and the unpredictability of life. It’s taught me to appreciate what I have and not take anything for granted, least of all my health. My heart goes out to all who have lost loved ones this year and I pray that a vaccine comes soon so we can all move past this together. Please remember to be kind to one another and that there is far more that unites us than divides us."
