Naya Rivera admits her fiancé "wears the pants" in their relationship.

The Latin American actress insists she's happy to let her rapper beau Big Sean - who she has been dating since April last year - act as the dominant one in their romance because it allows her to take a break from putting on an "independent" front.

She said: "I think he's going to be an amazing husband, and he'll make a great father someday.

"He's so kind to people, but he also wears the pants in our relationship, which I love. We Latinas are very independent and strong, so it's even sweeter that I've found somebody who can let me out of that role for a minute."

Meanwhile, since getting engaged to Big Sean - whose real name is Sean Anderson - the 27-year-old star has begun to dip into her domestic side.

Speaking in the spring edition of Cosmopolitan for Latinas magazine, she explained: "Latinas are really great nurturers who are great to our men; we love hard and we love to cook. The other morning I woke up and was like, 'I need china - this table needs to be set all the time!' Focusing on those things is where I'm at right now."

Although Naya is keen to show Big Sean that she's got the potential to be wife material, she admits the key to a successful relationship is a passionate sex life.

She joked: "We have sex in public. We have sex everywhere!"
