Natalie Portman thinks motherhood has made her "less judgmental."
The 32-year-old actress, who has a two-year-old son Aleph with her husband Benjamin Millepied, thinks it's great that there are very few rules when it comes to being a parent.
She told the Telegraph newspaper: "I love being a mum. I'm less judgmental than before I had a kid. The biggest thing about parenting is that it is a totally different experience for every person.
"Everything is cool, there are no rules - I mean, apart from not hurting your kid. Some people breastfeed until their babies are five, and some don't breastfeed at all."
She added: "There are no rules about what it means to be a feminist, or a good mother. For some, it's going to be right to go back to work, for others it's going to be right to stop working completely."
The 'Thor: The Dark World' star is set to move to Paris, France with her family next year as her husband, who is a professional ballet dancer, has been appointed the new director of the Paris Opera Ballet, starting in September 2014.
She previously said: "We are very excited about moving. Natalie will pursue work opportunities in Europe, and we'll be living in the city that welcomes the most art, at least in dance. There is going to be a lot to discover."
