Naomi Watts feels more self-conscious about her looks as she gets older.
The 45-year-old actress, who has two sons, Kai, five, and Sasha, seven, with long-time partner Liev Schreiber, admits she is an "anxious person" and regularly thinks about going under the knife since moving to Los Angeles from New York City last year.
The 'Diana' star told the September issue of Town and Country magazine: "I'm really just feeling my way. This being an industry town, that self-consciousness just pervades."
She added: "There are days when I feel victorious that I have, you know, gotten this far [without plastic surgery]. But there are a million days when I look in the mirror and think, 'I'm going to do it.' "
Despite starring in dozens of films and TV shows, the Australian beauty only found fame when she was 33 and now wishes she had been more relaxed about being successful.
She said: "If only I'd known back then, over those ten years of trying to prove myself, what I know now - which is just be you. I didn't trust that me was what people wanted."
But the Oscar-nominated star still hates auditioning for roles.
The 'Impossible' star explained: "I hate being put in a position where I'm being tested. If I feel safe, I can be me, but if I don't feel safe, I try to please."
