A UK-wide lockdown has just come into force, meaning schools are closed, with children having to turn to online learning instead, and the Hear'Say singer has decided to start her online lessons back again in a bid to help parents across the UK with homeschooling their kids.

Speaking on ITV News, she said: "I feel that we definitely have the chance to lighten the mood. And as a parent myself I know what the pressures feel like. I've got two children home-schooling and a toddler, who is just doing his own thing. There is a lot of pressure on parents. If we can lighten the load and keep people entertained ... and from a performer's point of view it's a lovely thing to contribute anyway."

And Myleene has opened up about the importance of music for kids.

Speaking about her decision to run the online music lessons, she shared on Instagram: "The arts has taken a total hammering, so the fact that children are missing out on classes, let alone that outlet and skill set, it's so important to have that in your lives, as music can teach you so many things."

The 42-year-old singer previously revealed she was terrified about homeschooling her children.

Myleene - who has Ava, 13, and Hero, nine, with ex-husband Graham Quinn, and 13-month-old son Apollo with fiance Simon Motson - said: "I think for every mum across the planet, suddenly, it was just so terrifying. Not only did you need to be an expert in every single field, but you also had to be able to run a household and work, if that's what you were doing as well. Just keep the whole thing, all those balls, in the air. I've never felt more busy in my life and half as productive."
