Lindsay Lohan's experience of motherhood has changed her career.
The 37-year-old actress has son Luai, seven months, with her husband Bader Shammas, and Lindsay admits that he's already changed how she approaches her career.
Lindsay told E! News: "I want to do things that my son can see. But I also want to do things that inspire me."
Despite this, Lindsay is still adjusting to her new reality.
The 'Mean Girls' star shared: "It's a learning process - I'm having a different go at it. Figuring out what I want to do and how I want to do it."
At the moment, Lindsay and her son go everywhere together. But in the long run, Lindsay accepts that things will change and that she will have to adjust to another lifestyle.
The actress said: "I'm still fortunate he's young, so I can bring him everywhere. And he is everywhere with me, because I don't want to leave him. But I think it will definitely play more of a factor as time passes."
Last year, Lindsay’s mom, Dina, claimed that her daughter's pregnancy happened at the "right time" in her life.
Dina told PEOPLE: "She's been trying and then it happened, that little stick came up positive.
"It's the right time for her and Bader is an angel. Her husband is so sweet and they're just so happy. They're just really happy and ready."
Dina also revealed that Lindsay was fulfilling a long-held ambition by becoming a mom.
She said: "Lindsay has always loved kids because I love kids and my mother loves kids; I'm one of four.
"We have a big family, so she's always wanted children. And she's so maternal. Isabelle, her niece, just runs to her when she sees her."
