Molly Sims was very "stressed" when she went into labour.
The 43-year-old actress and husband Scott Stuber welcomed son Grey into the world at Los Angeles' Cedars-Senai hospital earlier this month, but she admits she hadn't been expecting to have a natural birth as she was already booked in for a Caesarean section, the same process by which she delivered her older kids, Brooks, four, and Scarlett, 21 months.
She said in a video on her YouTube page: "I'd never really gone through labour because both my babies were C-sections because of complications with my pregnancies.
"I thought for sure this is going to be a C-section...
"I can't tell you how stressed I was. I was trying to make my husband go through red lights on Sunset [Boulevard] because we live quite far from Cedars.
"We got into an argument because he wouldn't run a red light, because I was having contractions."
And when she got to the hospital, Molly even tried to convince the doctors she wasn't in labour and could "hold off" until her planned section the following day.
She added: "Nevertheless, I was in full-on labour."
Molly admitted she was "scared to death" about having to give birth naturally.
Thanking the hospital staff, she said: "Thank you, Megan Palermo, for teaching this girl to breathe and knowing what contractions are.
"It was so great. I have to say, I was scared to death ... and then when they finally said it was a go, I was like, 'Oh my gosh.' "
When it came to naming Grey, Molly admitted her oldest son had a lot of influence - though she rejected his choice of middle names in favour of Douglas.
She said: "Brooks had a lot to do with the name.
"I know that sounds weird, but he would not give up on 'Grey.' It was 'Grey Jack and the Beanstalk Batman' all the way."
And the baby's name seemed even more appropriate because he was born on a cloudy day.
She added: "Living in California, you're always used to sunny skies, and clear, but it was raining and very grey outside, so it was kind of suitable in a weird sort of way."
