Mollie King and Stuart Broad went on a make-or-break trip to Paris before they fully committed to their romance.
The 36-year-old pop star and the former England cricketer both prioritised their careers during the early years of their relationship - but Stuart admits that a trip to the French capital in 2018 proved to be a real turning point for them.
In his new book 'Broadly Speaking', Stuart - who toured the world during his playing days - explained: "It felt like we needed to have a couple of nights and some time together to make a call on whether we could make things work, so two days after I got back from New Zealand, despite being worried about the jet lag, we were on the train to Paris.
"We walked around the streets, sat and drank coffee, everything we could do in London. But somewhere else."
The loved-up couple got engaged on New Year's Day in 2021 and their daughter, Annabella, was born in November 2022.
Stuart, 37, announced his retirement from cricket earlier this year, and he admits that his family might've "subconsciously" swayed his decision.
He shared: "Perhaps subconsciously, the fact I had barely seen Mollie and Annabella for the two previous months swayed me. It definitely makes you miss home, having a little daughter who is changing every day."
Meanwhile, Mollie recently admitted that she doesn't know when they'll tie the knot.
The blonde beauty - who shot to fame as part of The Saturdays - revealed that they're struggling to find the time for their wedding.
Asked when they will marry, Mollie told You magazine: "There’s been so much going on, we don’t know."
Mollie's dad passed away just days after Annabella was born, and Mollie believes her father - who was diagnosed with a brain tumour three months before he died - is now watching over them.
She said: "I’m pleased that my dad got to meet Annabella. There are so many times when I know he is with us. He would be so proud."
