Mollie King's engagement was an "unforgettable moment".
The 34-year-old star is poised to marry England cricketer Stuart Broad after he proposed on New Year's Day, and Mollie has now lifted the lid on the "special" moment.
She shared: "I had no idea at all! It was such a wonderful year and unforgettable moment.
"He made it so special, taking me to one of my favourite childhood spots, where I have so many family memories.
"We had spoken before about wanting to get married and having a family together, if we’re lucky enough, but it was such a surprise when he did it."
Mollie was forced to spend two months apart from Stuart earlier this year, when he toured India with the England team.
And the blonde beauty - who previously dated model David Gandy - admitted it was tough to be separated for so long amid the pandemic.
She told MailOnline: "I missed him so much but the fact we were engaged kept my spirits up."
By contrast, the first lockdown gave Mollie and Stuart the perfect chance to spend lots of quality time together.
And even though they were both worried about their families, the experience helped to strengthen their romance.
She explained: "We tried to keep each other positive and upbeat during lockdown but like lots of us I’m sure, we were worrying about our families’ safety and hoping they were all OK.
"My parents were both on their own so my main concern was that they were OK and safe and not too lonely.
"For Stuart and I, it was a chance for us to spend a longer time together than we ever get the opportunity to do. He travels a lot with his job so it was the longest amount of time we have spent together without him going away. He really looked after me."
