Mindy Kaling's relationship with B.J. Novak is "weird as hell."

The 35-year-old actress, who previously admitted she would have married the actor if he'd asked her before they split almost 10 years ago, says they still have a "romantically charged" connection.
The 'Mindy Project' star, whose show was axed earlier this week after three seasons, said: "I will freely admit: My relationship with B.J. Novak is weird as hell. He is not my boyfriend, but he is not my best friend. I guess you could describe our relationship as a 'romantically charged camaraderie with loud arguments,' but I don't think Facebook would accept this as a new status."
The comedienne, whose mother died in early 2012 after battling pancreatic cancer, would like to have children in the future.
She told the June issue of InStyle magazine: "I don't have a particular urge to get married. But I do know with certainty that I want to have kids, because my relationship with [my mom] was so special."
Former 'The Office' star B.J. previously admitted he and Mindy had a very tumultuous relationship.
He told 'Watch What Happens Live' last year: "We fought a lot. We were each other's best friends. We were inseparable and not talking to each other, often on the same day. And people didn't know, if she was gone, they would ask me where she was, and vice versa. We were like E.T. and Elliott a little bit."
