Miles Teller had never seen 'Star Wars' until he was asked to audition to play a young Han Solo in the forthcoming spin-off movie.
The 29-year-old actor revealed he met with Phil Lord and Chris Miller who are set to helm the origins story about the space smuggler, but confessed he was a total newcomer to the science-fiction franchise.
He said: "I had never even seen any of the original Star Wars movies until maybe a month before, or a couple weeks before my first audition because I was like, 'I should check this out.'"
The 'Whiplash' star has reportedly been ruled out of the running to step into Harrison Ford's shoes as the owner of the Millenium Falcon, and Taron Egerton, Jack Reynor and Alden Ehrenreich are the three actors currently in the frame.
Despite losing out on the role, Miles came away from the experience an avid fan of the veteran star.
Speaking to the happysadconfused podcast, he said: "It holds up. I just love Harrison Ford. I think it's a great character. I love his brand, I mean so many guys would've played that part so wrong and he has humor at the right times, but he's masculine... Harrison Ford is a very big actor, when you see the facial expressions and the things he does he goes big, but he's just always the coolest guy in the room and he's got all of those great qualities."
