Michelle Obama thinks she is a better cook than her husband Barack Obama.
The former US First Lady believes that she has superior culinary skills than her partner, although she says that the ex-President does have some "special meals".
Michelle, 57, said: "I would say I was the best, but he had his special meals. He could make a mean chilli, and stir-fry."
The 'Becoming' author revealed the neither she nor Barack are doing much cooking at the moment, although she was more likely to be preparing meals "day-to-day" during their "cooking phase".
Speaking to 'Extra TV', Michelle said: "Well, neither of us do much cooking now.
"But when we were in our cooking phase, I did all of the day-to-day cooking."
Michelle – who presents the Netflix children's cookery show 'Waffles + Mochi' – also opened up on her experiences of getting her daughters Malia, 22, and Sasha, 19, to try new foods when they were younger.
She explained: "I think all kids, it takes time for their taste buds to develop ... So the key for my kids was to just try.
"I would say, 'Just give it a try. You may not like it now, but it will help prepare you for new and exciting flavour.'"
Michelle recently explained that she hopes that Waffles + Mochi can help her continue the work she started in the White House.
She told Entertainment Tonight: "I knew I wanted to find a way to continue the conversation about healthy eating and movement and 'Waffles + Mochi' does it in a fun and creative way."
