Michelle Keegan urged her husband Mark Wright to pursue a career in America.
The 30-year-old actress sat down with her spouse - who is now a presenter on 'EXTRA' in the US - last year before she decided to sign on for a new series of 'Our Girl', which meant being abroad for eight months, to discuss their options and she suggested he spent the time following his dreams Stateside.
Speaking to the new issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, she said: "Before I went to South Africa last April, we were sat in the gym car park and he was asking how long [I'd be away for]. I said, 'What do you want to do?' He said, 'I don't know.' And I said, 'When I'm away, why don't you do to America?' He had an agent here. So he did - and look what's happened. It's unbelievable."
The former 'Coronation Street' actress is very proud of Mark's achievements, but can't believe he doesn't get more star-struck when he's interviewing big-name stars like Sir Elton John, Liam Neeson and Kim Kardashian West.
She said: "He met Kevin Costner the other day. I was like, 'Oh my God, how was it?' He said, 'Yeah, alright. Have you had any lunch?' "
But Michelle has found the scrutiny she and former 'TOWIE' star Mark, 31, have come under while she's been spending time with him in Los Angeles hard to deal with.
She said: "I hate all that stuff. I get anxious over it because I can't see [the photographers]. I find it intrusive but I do know that it comes with the job. Because it's been every day, it's difficult. They are literally outside the house, parked up."
Mark recently admitted he would quit his job if his wife asked him to.
He said: "Yes I miss [Michelle], yes she misses me. Right now we make sure we see each other as much as we can.
"I mean if Michelle didn't like living here and she wanted me to move home and she preferred life back home, then for sure I would [move back to the UK]. That comes first. It's not going to come to that, but if it ever did, then yes of course, marriage and my love life is definitely first."
