Michael Fassbender says he has never thought of himself as good looking.
Over the last couple of years Fassbender has seen his star rocket with movie roles such as Shame and Inglourious Basterds.
Not only has become one of the most in demand actors but a pin-up and sex symbol.
Speaking to ELLE UK magazine the actor said: "I've never really thought of myself as good looking. I think of myself as, you know, alright.
"I used to have bad acne as a teenager, so all of this is a bonus now, the fact that I don't have pimples any more.
"And my hair was also, you know, unfortunate. I had really long hair. I mean, I tied it back most of the time, but I had all these frizzy bits coming off the top."
The actor is back on the big screen this autumn with The Counsellor; a movie that sees him reunite with director Ridley Scott and star alongside Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem.
Fassbender is also on the cast list for the critically acclaimed 12 Years A Slave, which sees him work with director Steve McQueen for a third time.
There is plenty of Oscar buzz surrounding the film, and Fassbender could find himself in the running of the Best Supporting Actor prize.
