Michael Douglas says meeting Catherine Zeta Jones was the highlight of his career.
The 71-year-old actor met his now wife at a film festival in 1999 and after 15 years of marriage, he could not be happier.
He told Entertainment Tonight: "Right now, it would probably be the Deauville Film Festival in 1999 when I met Catherine. That was the best memory I got."
Catherine, 46, said giving birth to their two children, son Dylan, 15 and daughter Carys, 12, is the best thing to ever happen to her and sharing it with Michael has been "pretty amazing".
She explained: "I think giving birth to two of my kids, and him (Douglas) being the first one to hold them was pretty amazing."
Catherine and Michael briefly split in 2013 but soon reconciled and Michael - who was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2010 and went into remission in January 2011 - spoke about maintaining his marriage and health.
He told PEOPLE: "I think it's just moment to moment. Catherine reminds me, I like to say sometimes, we all make more efforts to strangers than we do to the people closest to us."
"I think love, without getting too corny, nourishing each other, working at relationships, good sustenance, good food, good kids, all kind of a combination."
