He told People magazine: "I'll fly back, and for three weeks that she's making a movie, I'm the babysitter. I'm Mr. Mom or whatever you call it.
It allows us both to be fulfilled within our professional lives, but at the same time, we feel like we haven't lost control the balance."
Meanwhile, Michael recently had to undergo vocal cord surgery and while he was worried about losing his voice at first, but he often forgets it ever happened.
Asked how is voice is since having the procedure, he said: "You can imagine not knowing and worrying, before. But the moment that I woke up from the surgery, the doctor told me that it wasn't as invasive as he'd first thought and that everything was completely fine and better than expected.
"It's funny because it's now been a couple of months, and I don't even think about it. Sometimes I forget I even had it done; I feel so much stronger than I did then."
