Melissa McCarthy is recovering after being bit by a spider in Australia.
The 50-year-old actress is currently working on the movie 'Thor: Love and Thunder' and the TV series 'Nine Perfect Strangers' in the country and shared footage of herself recovering after being bitten by a venomous Huntsman spider.
Melissa shared clips of herself on Instagram covered in bandages and with a towel on her head, revealing that she was "pretty puffy" and "itchy" after the incident.
The 'Bridesmaids' star also poked fun of herself by sharing footage of a recent interview in which she embraced Australian wildlife between her hospital clips.
Melissa said: "I love that all of the bugs and creatures will kill you."
She captioned the social media post: "After professing my love of Australian critters to @instylemagazine, I was quickly reminded by someone that I was conveniently forgetting the aftermath of some of those 'magical' bites... (sic)"
Melissa will make a cameo appearance in 'Thor: Love and Thunder' along with her husband Ben Falcone. The pair had previously posted a video in which they begged for a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film.
He said: "Melissa and I are desperate to be in this film, 'Love and Thunder.'"
McCarthy added: "Respectfully, respectfully, sure."
Melissa is also set to star in the new adaptation of 'The Little Mermaid' as the evil sea witch Ursula and has described the villain as "delicious" to play.
She said: "I have such an affection for Ursula. I know she’s the villain, but I’ve just always kind of been like, ‘Oh my god.’ I mean, she’s kind of delicious to play.
"I’m just kind of doing it as if I could be like the vaudevillian night club act that lives in my heart. It’s just so fun, you can’t go too far with her and I’m excited to see it."
