Mel B and Stephen Belafonte were reportedly spotted heading to family counselling on Wednesday (22.03.17).
The former Spice Girl filed for divorce from her estranged husband on Monday (20.03.17) and the pair have reportedly taken their five-year-old daughter Madison - as well as Mel's children Phoenix, 18, whom she shares with Jimmy Gulzar and Angel, nine, from her relationship with Eddie Murphy - to a family therapy session in order to "make sure their kids are okay" in the wake of the split.
According to TMZ.com, Mel and Stephen, both 41, travelled in separate cars to the session which took place in Mulholland Estates in Beverly Hills, at the home of Mel's long time psychiatrist Doctor Charles Sophy.
The publication also reports that all three children travelled in a third car with their nanny.
The reported family therapy session is believed to be the first session of this kind that the pair have attended, though it was previously reported they had tried couples therapy before their split to no avail.
A source said: "They started from the beginning when they realised they were very different people, who would argue and row. Their personalities were like fire and ice, one minute it was pure adoration and the next it was an all-out war.
"It led to them having blow-out arguments non-stop. However, as they got further down the line, the stress of keeping things together proved too much. The therapy prompted more fights and bitterness. Their connection by the end was all but burned out."
Their split reportedly comes after he tragic death of Mel's father Martin gave her "a moment of complete clarity" and helped her make the decision to file for divorce.
The insider added: "Ever since they got married, they have been plagued with problems. The writing has been on the wall for a while. Money was at the centre of many rows but Martin's passing provided a moment of complete clarity for Mel.
"For the first time in a decade, she decided to put blood before water. Stephen was always coming up with business ideas which caused huge arguments. It is no secret her family didn't like him and now she has reconnected with them, Mel is sorting out her life. She's had enough of the chaos with Stephen. Her, the kids and her family come first."
