The 'America's Got Talent' judge has described having a cat fight with the 'Never Ever' hitmaker back in the 90s, when her group the Spice Girls were bitter rivals with Shaznay's girl band, and insists she won the fight.
Mel explained: "There was this girl group called All Saints. And I had already beaten up one of them in the bathroom, the black girl Shaznay. She started giving me attitude so I went in the bathroom and tried to rip her weave off. And she chokes me and then we kinda got split up but I won."
However, the 40-year-old singer - who is also known as Scary Spice in the Spice Girls - insists she has nothing against her former rivals.
She told the Allegedly podcast: "The funny thing is they just brought out a new record last week. It's really good!"
Meanwhile, a representative for Shaznay has denied she had an altercation with Mel and that they simply had a "brief friendly chat" and they can't fathom why Mel would make up such a story.
A spokesperson for the 'One Strike' singer said: "Shaznay says this story is not true. Mel B once came to an All Saints show and was invited to the after party.
"Mel and Shaznay had a brief friendly chat and that was all. Otherwise they don't really know each other - so we are baffled as to why Mel would make this up."
