Meg Ryan buys new $8 million apartment in NYC, after splitting from boyfriend John Mellencamp after three-years of dating.

Meg Ryan famous for her role in 'When Harry Met Sally', recently split from her rocker boyfriend John Mellencamp after three-years of dating, has now splashed out on a luxurious three-bedroom, three-bathroom loft in the Soho district of New York.

The 52-year-old actress, who has son Jack, 22, with ex-husband Dennis Quaid, and an adopted daughter Daisy, nine, bought the house from 'Ray Donovan' star Hank Azaria, who paid artist Cindy Sherman $4.625 million for the 4,000 square-foot space in 2005, according to real estate website The Real Estalker.

Azaria 50, started renting out the property for $16,000 per-month in 2011, before putting in on the market.

Meg, who sold her home in Bel Air, California for $11.125 million in 2012 and still owns a rustic home in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, quietly ended her relationship with John last month, largely because the rocker lives in Bloomington, Indiana.

A source recently said: "Meg enjoyed going to Bloomington with John to visit, but she isn't going to pull up stakes from Manhattan, it's where she made her life with her daughter.

"His heart is still in his native Indiana. He made a vow as a young man that he would never abandon it again after leaving twice before."
