Max George is taking elocution lessons in a bid to boost his chances in Hollywood.
The 25 year old heartthrob, whose band The Wanted are going on hiatus at the end of their current tour, is desperate to become a big screen star but admits movie studio bosses have struggled to understand his strong Manchester accent.
Max said: "I'm having elocution lessons, since they can't understand me in casting interviews. I had an acting role lined up but the filming clashed with The Wanted tour so it didn't happen in the end."
It seems the 'Glad You Came' singer's efforts to land an acting role in Los Angeles have paid off, as he has teased an upcoming project, but Max is reluctant to go into detail in case the deal falls through.
He explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'm hoping people can see something new from me next month but I don't want to say too much in case I shoot myself in the foot. I am looking to relocate to LA but not just yet. I have some things here first and we've some The Wanted gigs coming up."
Max's chart-topping band - which also includes Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Siva Kaneswaran - announced their split in January and will go their separate ways following their final tour dates in August.
