The 'Friends' actor died in October 2023, aged 54, from the acute effects of ketamine, but Marta - who co-created 'Friends' - wants Perry to be remembered as someone who "brought joy to everybody".

Marta told The Times newspaper: "He is the one I had the most contact with.

"About two weeks before [he died] he and I were FaceTiming and he seemed really good.

"Two things come to mind [about how to celebrate him]: one of them is to donate to drug treatment centres - let’s fight the disease. And the second way is to watch 'Friends' and remember him not as a man who died like that but as a man who was hilariously funny and brought joy to everybody."

Perry's personal assistant recently pleaded guilty to charges in connection with his death.

Kenneth Iwamasa, the actor's live-in personal assistant, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death.

The Department of Justice has accused Iwamasa of "repeatedly" injecting the actor with ketamine "without medical training", including on the day that Perry passed away.

Iwamasa is one of five defendants charged with offences related to the actor's death.

Jasveen Sangha - who is also known as The Ketamine Queen - has been charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine, one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises.

What's more, Sangha is facing one count of possession with intent to distribute ketamine and five counts of distribution of ketamine.

Dr. Salvador Plascencia has been charged with conspiracy to distribute ketamine.

Elsewhere, Mark Chavez, another doctor, has pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine.

Erik Fleming has pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine, and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death.
